Bangus Belly In Orange Ginger Sesame Sauce
Ingredients
1-420g pack Sarangani Bay Prime Bangus Belly (sliced into 4)
½ cup all purpose flour
salt and pepper
1 T cooking oil
2 T chopped shallots
1 cup orange juice
½ cup honey
1 T ginger juice
1 T cornstarch dissolve in
¼ cup water
1 t sesame seeds, toasted
1 t black sesame seeds, toasted
Procedure
Season bangus belly with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour. Fry in hot oil until light brown and crisp. Set aside.
In a saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, sauté shallots until soft. Add orange juice, honey and ginger juice. Allow to cook for 10 mins until reduce in half. Thicken with cornstarch dissolved in water. Remove from heat.
Pour sauce over bangus belly. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve.
