Pinsec Frito with Onion Dip

Ingredients

1-320 g Sarangani Bay Smoked Deboned Milkfish, skin removed and meat flaked

½ cup cream cheese

½ cup chopped red pimiento

1 teaspoon hot sauce

1 pack wonton wrapper

2 cups cooking oil

 

Onion Dip

1 cup mayonnaise

¼ cup sour cream

½ cup chopped spring onion

1 teaspoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

Procedure

1. In a clean bowl, combine flaked smoked fish, cream cheese, chopped red pimientos and hot sauce. Mix well.

2. Place a teaspoon of filling towards the center of the wonton wrapper. Fold to form a triangle. Seal edges with a small amount of water. Repeat until filling is all used up.

For the dip

1. Mix all ingredients. Chill until ready to use.

2. Heat cooking oil in a fry pan. Fry filled wontons a few at a time. When golden and crisp, remove from the pan. Drain in paper towel. Serve immediately with the onion dip.
