Stir-Fried Bangus Fillet With Broccoli

Ingredients

400g Sarangani Bay Milkfish Fillet (cut into chunks)

2 Tbsp soy sauce

¼ cup cornstarch

¼ cup cooking oil

1 tsp ginger, chopped

1 Tbsp garlic, minced

4 pcs. Chinese dried mushrooms, soaked in warm water, sliced

1 large red bell pepper

2 cups Broccoli flowers

2 Tbsp oyster sauce

1 Tbsp cornstarch

2 Tbsp sugar

¾ cup water

1 t sesame oil

Procedure

Marinate bangus chunks in soysauce for 5 minutes. Drain. Dredge bangus chunks in cornstarch. In a sauté pan, heat 2 T of cooking oil, fry bangus pieces until lightly browned. Set aside.

Using the same pan, add the remaining oil. Sauté ginger, garlic, Chinese mushrooms, red bell peppers and broccoli. Cook for 2 minutes.

Mix together oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, water and sesame oil until dissolved. Pour over to the peppers and broccoli. Add bangus chunks. Cook until sauce becomes thick. Remove from heat.

Serve with white steamed rice.
