Stir-Fried Shrimps With Tamarind Glaze


500g Sarangani Bay Vannamei Shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup Cornstarch

1/4 cup Cooking oil


2 tbsp. Cooking oil

1 tbsp. Garlic, minced

1 med Red onion, sliced

1 small Green bell pepper, large dice

1 small Red bell pepper, large dice

1/2 cup Tamarind puree

1/2 cup Sugar

2 tsp. Fish sauce

6 pcs Dried chili

2 stalks Coriander leaves


Dredge shrimps in cornstarch. Stir fry in very hot wok or pan. As soon as it changes color. Remove and set aside.

In the same wok or pan. Saute in oil garlic, onion, dried chili and peppers.

Add tamarind puree, sugar and fish sauce. Cook until thick and shiny.

Finally add shrimps and coat with sauce. Remove from heat.

Transfer onto a plate. Top with cilantro leaves. Serve immediately.
